gophernicus CGI scripts with TLS
April 20th, 2022
----------------------------------------
I just noticed that many of the CGI scripts on my site were hard coded
to use only port 70, instead of using the $SERVER_PORT variable.
The $SERVER_PORT variable is immensely useful because it allows
gophernicus to reply with a different port depending on if the
connection is being served plain or over TLS...
I have no idea if it makes any difference though; are there any gopher
over TLS clients out there? Let me know in the comments.

ok, now i am on the gopher site, using Lagrange, and I can still leave
comments. I am curious how to set up my gopher with comments enabled.
Thanks for your work.

just serve over Tor for encrypted connection and anon, without hacking
gopher.

Gopher is slow enough without Tor's involvement.
